A two-day tour from Tirupati to Arunachalam (Tiruvannamalai) for darshan of Sri Arunachaleswarar and the sacred Girivalam around the hill.
Arunachalam is one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams, representing the element of fire. Devotees walk the 14 km Girivalam path around the hill, especially on the full-moon night. We time the trip so you can complete Girivalam comfortably in the cool early morning hours before the day’s darshan.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Tirupati to Arunachalam
- Morning pickup from Tirupati
- Drive to Arunachalam / Tiruvannamalai (approx. 220 km)
- Check-in and rest
- Evening darshan at Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple
- Overnight halt at Arunachalam
Day 2 — Girivalam & return
- Early morning Girivalam (circumambulation of Arunachala hill)
- Visit Ramana Maharshi Ashram and Seshadri Swamigal Ashram
- Temple darshan and prasadam
- Drive back and evening drop at Tirupati
